Kana Word Search is much like the classic word search game except
that all the words hidden in the puzzle are written in hiragana or katakana.
This game provides hours of fun and teaches over 100 frequently used Japanese
words.
In the picture, the Japanese word for telephone is written
somewhere in the puzzle board. It may be written horizontally or vertically.
Designed with all skill levels in mind, the game provides hint
boxes on the left side.
Beginning students will want to use the DISPLAY KANA hint to see
exactly what shapes they should be looking for. Everyone will want to use
the PRONOUNCE WORD hint to hear the word pronounced by a native Japanese speaker.
If your computer has voice recording capability, you can record
yourself, compare yourself with the native Japanese speaker, and improve your
pronunciation skills.
